One has a slimmer, less bulbous design while the other one is wider with a round ball-like tip. Each has a little handle on the end for an easy grip, and they are both made of a hard white plastic. The instructions state that these little guys were designed to help the user develop anorectal muscles and strengthen the pelvic floor. It promises that, with controlled and conscious contractions, the Peridise Anal Toy will intensify pelvic sensation.

My goal with this toy was to relax and experience pleasure. As a beginner in the anal department, it was not an easy task. I started with a good, stiff drink, a vibrator, and lots of lube. As I began to relax and feel good, my husband happily and hungrily inserted the larger Peridise. At first, there was a burning sensation and, dare I say, the sensation that I was going to... um... relieve myself, but all of the sudden my muscles relaxed and in it went. It turned out to be a good experience. Between the steady work of the vibrator, the Peridise, and the intimate connection between my husband and me, the "treasure trove of nerve endings in the anal canal" really intensified my orgasms. While this may seem counterintuirive, the reason is that the smaller size requires a greater amount of muscle control. Clever! (So this actually gives me something to work towards as I get better and better at tweaking my ass muscles.) The bulbous tip isn't incredibly difficult to insert (just use lots of lube and RELAX. Whatever you do, don't force it!). I generally have a hard time pushing things into my hole, but that was not the case here at all. The rounded bulges along the shaft really do gently massage your insides and add stimulation while you masturbate. When you have the Peridise in your ass, every curve and every angle serves a purpose. And because it's hands free, you can multitask while using it. The Peridise made by Aneros is the first toy from this company that I have tried. I have heard and read rave reviews about the toys this company produces, but for some silly reason, I have always thought of them as toys made for boys and not for me. Reflecting back on that assumption, I see the absurdity of this thought—especially for a woman like myself. I have never abided by gender normative rules with toys, clothes, dating, or careers, so why I did this time is unknown even to me. Luckily, the ToolBox shook me out of my binary box and reminded me that most anal products are just as pleasurable for women as well as men, or anyone whose gender falls somewhere in between.

Although this was the first time I inserted an Aneros product in my rear, it was certainly not the first time my rump has been bumped. I was impressed that one of the first recommendations before using the Peridise was to cleanse both internally and externally. Although I always made sure my bowels were emptied and I was clean prior to anal play, a proper anal cleanse (otherwise known as an enema) is a fairly new practice for me. Of course, now that I have tried it, I just want to recommend it to everyone! Knowing that I was 110% clean within my anal canal produced a high level of emotional relaxation that I had not experienced before with this type of play.
