U.S. Federal District Court Judge Virginia A. Phillips ruled today that the U.S. government must IMMEDIATELY cease all enforcement of the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and must "suspend and discontinue any investigation, or discharge, separation, or other proceeding" in connection with the policy. Carl Paladino, who's running for Governor of New York against Democrat Andrew Cuomo, has been digging himself deeper and deeper into a hole this weekend as he struggles to convince people that while he finds homosexuality disgusting, he doesn't have a thing against gays. In fact, he is "unequivocally" for gay rights, although he opposes gay marriage. [Read more]

Mayor Bertrand Delanoë of Paris has caused an international uproar with accusations of censorship by declaring that minors under the age of 18 will not be admitted to a retrospective of work by photographer and film director Larry Clark now showing in the Museum of Modern Art (MAM). The irony is that Clark's work focuses almost exclusively on teens, often doing things that are usually considered "adult"—like using drugs and having sex. [Read more]
